A leading electronics manufacturer has taken out the top honour at the 2023 South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards for the second year running.
Lonsdale-based REDARC Electronics is the back-to-back South Australian Exporter of the Year, while also earning the Manufacturing and Advanced Materials Award.
The company was amongst more than 250 businesses to enter this year’s awards – run in partnership with Business SA – with 600 nominations across 24 categories.
Founded in 1979, REDARC Electronics operates in a state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing facility and employs more than 350 people worldwide.
The company specialises in advanced electronic design and manufacturing for defence, automotive, marine, medical, mining and industrial applications and has grown its global footprint into South Africa and the United States.

In the Business Award categories, locally owned baby formula manufacturer Mumamoo Group was named Business of the Year.
South Australian exports have hit record highs this year – up 17.6 per cent to $17.6 billion in the 12 months to July 2023, according to ABS data.
China, the US, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines are the top five destination markets for SA exports, driven by a strong increase in grains, metals, petroleum and nuts.
The 2023 South Australian Premier’s Export Awards’ winners will progress to the Australian Export and Investment Awards to be held in Canberra on 30 November.
