Jing Lee was elected to the Legislative Council in the South Australian Parliament in 2010.
She was appointed as the Assistant Minister to the Premier in the Marshall Government, in March 2018.
Jing was the first Malaysian born Chinese migrant to be elected to the South Australian Parliament.
She served as Shadow Parliamentary Secretary in numerous portfolios including Trade and Investment, Small Business, Education and Multicultural Affairs.
Jing arrived in Adelaide with her family in 1979 and has been actively involved in South Australia’s multicultural sector since that time.
Prior to entering politics, Jing worked in the business sector and has more than 20 years of experience in management and international trade. She has worked in both private and public sectors and travelled beyond our borders to work in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and China.
Jing is passionate advocate for diversity in South Australia. She attends hundreds of festivals, ceremonies and business events every year and looks forward to strengthening our multicultural sector, the arts and the South Australian community.
Jing and her husband Eddie always enjoy spending time with their family, grandchildren and friends.
