Stephan Knoll was elected to the South Australian Parliament as the Member for Schubert in 2014.
He was appointed as the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Local Government and the Minister for Planning in the Marshall Government, in March 2018.
Stephan previously served as the Shadow Minister for Police, Emergency and Correctional Services and Road Safety from 2017 to 2018.
He was born and educated in Adelaide and completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing).
Following this, Stephan became the General Manager at his family’s business, Barossa Fine Foods. It was a role that taught him the difficulties that small businesses face as they seek to grow.
He has served as Chair of Flavour SA, inaugural Vice Chair of Food SA and Chair of Barossa Food, giving Stephan a deep understanding of one of the state’s growth sectors.
Stephan is a member of the Angaston and District Lions Club and Patron of the Tanunda Show, Mt Pleasant Show and Barossa Swimming Club.
Stephan and his wife Amy live in Angaston with their two daughters.
